I am beyond excited to step into the role of Personal Training Manager for Yelm, & to be your secret weapon for strength, confidence, & real results.
With over a decade in the fitness industry, I bring an ACE Personal Trainer certification (6 years strong!) and a Certified Nutrition Specialist background. I’m also a Nationally Qualified NPC Bikini competitor with 15 shows under my belt, including four national stages, backed by a full decade of bodybuilding experience. I also work behind the scenes at bodybuilding events across the PNW. Fitness is truly my passion & my lifestyle.
I love hosting our small group trainings, working on nutrition programs, and hosting new health seminars and clinics.

I had been a collegiate athlete throughout high school and college, but fell into the throws of addiction in my early teen years, all the way through young adulthood. While living in addiction, I was also still very active and loved fitness, but the older I became, the harder it was to stay ‘in-shape.’
In late 2021, I got sober and added a very regimented routine of fitness to my new lifestyle and joined Get Fit Yelm in the fall of 2022 as a member. I fell in love all over again with health, wellness, nutrition, and recently started a journey into amateur bodybuilding. Get Fit Yelm has been my second home in my sobriety journey, and I love this place and the community so much.
Fitness and routine changed my life; so I decided in late 2024 to become a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Science Medicine, in order to be able to teach and train others.
I love how fitness has changed my life for the better and if I can make a comeback, anyone can!

My name's Denise and I am a certified Yoga teacher! Born and raised in the Netherlands, but moved to Washington in 2021 to marry my high school sweetheart, with whom I now have two beautiful daughters. I grew up playing basketball, soccer, and whatever else I could get my hands on.
It was only in my twenties that I discovered yoga, and it immediately stuck. Marrying movement to breath and really paying attention to what my body needs in the moment has been a life-changing experience. I am motivated to pass on this beautiful gift: I think everyone can use some yoga in their life!
